If your sole complaint is really that Irim has given her own opinion, why single out her in particular? (And, if reading opinions bothers you that much, why read blogs at all?? That's what they *are*. That's the whole point!)

So if, as I suspect, your complaint actually has to do with something about the *content* of Irim's post, why not post that and start an open discussion?

She'enedra: I didn't comment on this post when you first posted it because I didn't think there was anything I could add to it, but since I'm writing this comment now, I might as well add that I agree with Kimberly completely. (And I share your opinion of Father V's style, as you know.)

Ari.xxAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33689950.post-20812395799525195572007-06-07T00:42:00.000+01:002007-06-07T00:42:00.000+01:00Clearly, anonymous, I *do* have a sense of balance...Clearly, anonymous, I *do* have a sense of balance as I published your comment. I could easily have rejected it during comment moderation.
My blog is here so that I can voice *my* opinions on whatsoever I choose. It is not a news service which has a duty to be neutral.
Clearly, it threatens you, or you'd have presented your case in a more, erm, *balanced* fashion without using words like "nasal-gazing" (it's navel-gazing, by the way), "self-righteous" (pot, kettle, black), "irrelevant" (then why does it threaten you enough for you to make a nasty comment?) "drivel" (again, why waste your time?).
If you disagree or want to engage in a discussion of the points, fine. If you want to ask questions, fine. If you're a fan of Fr. V's, and feel the need to defend him, fine. Do so with a genuine interest in dialogue.
I've been listening to his sermons since he was ordained deacon seven years ago and I feel qualified to comment on them. His logic DIDN'T hold and I feel free to call him on that; I didn't agree with his points; and I've never been keen on his style. It works for other people. That's ok. But this is MY space. If it offends you, leave.
And as for him being 'defeated', this is an editorial, not a war. Believe it or not, he and I get on just fine.
IxxPragmatic Mystic https://www.blogger.com/profile/08877990361303745003noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33689950.post-36485495199861208322007-06-06T20:57:00.000+01:002007-06-06T20:57:00.000+01:00That was like listening to one (very unbalanced) s...That was like listening to one (very unbalanced) side of a telephone conversation. Do you really think that 'Voldemort' will be defeated by your nasal-gazing, self-righteous irrelevant drivel?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33689950.post-21007452058303088582007-05-11T23:29:00.000+01:002007-05-11T23:29:00.000+01:00Found you on emerging women blog--In the most "fee...Found you on emerging women blog--In the most "feeling" way-I love what you wrote here. I've been exploring what it means to love my neighbor as I love myself. To love myself is to accept that God has made me with both a heart (with feelings!) and a head (rational thought). To value both. To learn to love and accept myself is to be released to love and accept my neighbors-to actually feel that love for them. My definition of neighbor is expanding to recently include my closest neighbors: my family--the one's who drive me crazy sometimes! Thanks for your thoughts here.Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15534490234530810166noreply@blogger.com
