But at many other levels, I wonder. It's not easy, nor is it often rewarding. I just don't know what I am doing (deep down, I mean) some of the time. So reading your words about carrying on for the time being is very helpful. If I had half of your ability to deal with life, I'd be far happier and live a far better life. But I haven't...so until whenever, I read and value your words.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33689950.post-9947099998700679552009-11-01T14:55:52.505+00:002009-11-01T14:55:52.505+00:00I would have to add that of those people you descr...I would have to add that of those people you describe who are nice to the priest but not nice to the laity: there will also be subsection who are nice to the priest to his face, but behind his back, it will be another story entirely.
Who needs people like that? No doubt you are reminded of the parable of the unforgiving servant...
Will these people get their come-uppance? Will they be ministered to by a gay (out and proud, if possible) nurse, who just happens to be the only sympathetic person around?
Or will they continue to stew in their own juices? In the end one has to try to be like Dietrich Bonhoeffer and stand up for the truth whoever or wherever one is...he got killed for it. I can think of various people in the church who might want to do away with you or me. Is it really worth it?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
